It all began with a very Italian grape. And a great passion for wine-making.
All about
Apulia
The Apulia region is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the world and one of the reasons for its fame is the aromatic Primitivo grape.
Elegant, intense, fruity and matured under the Apulian sun, it is the basis of the Doppio Passo Primitivo and the core of its success story.
What started as a family business
in 1928 near Venice by Maria and Carlo Botter has become an international success story culminating in the formation of a joint venture between Botter SPA and the German wine marketing powerhouse Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellereien GmbH in September 2020.
We believe that
drinking great wine does not have to be complicated. That is why we are dedicated to upholding consistently high standards in both quality and taste, because that is what Doppio Passo stands for:
High quality wines that are approachable and offer a great taste experience for everyone.
Our heritage is where the sun is shining all year
and with a bottle of Doppio Passo you can literally taste that sunshine all year long.
Where our
wine
grows
All wines come from the regions where their defining grapes grow best:
While the Doppio Passo Primitivo comes from the heart of Apulia, the Doppio Passo Grillo is made form Grillo grapes that grow in Sicily's mediterranean climate and our prosecco grapes are harvested in the region of Veneto.
